MARLA BROWN

Awards & Achievements:  Most Improved Player of the year 2003.

Goals, Dreams, Hopes & Aspirations:  I hope to attend a D1 track college and major in the field of arts and maybe one day find myself working and living in New York in my Manhattan loft working for BMW designing cars and products, traveling all of the country.

Likes:  Any type of seafood and my favorite Jamaican dish is curry goat.  I love hip-hop, rap, some punk, and techno and dance hall.  My favorite book is (or at least one of) Color of Water.  Any Jamaican, American or German 100 meter dash runner (have to represent the countries).

Best Memory of Field Hockey:  UConn camp doing "all the small things," spoons, listening to Leanne's burps and Sarah farting, Kendall AKA Captain Underpants, "Hooters" team Rift Rafts for life, "Elimination Time...," Me and KLT almost killing Christina.

Any Heroes:  My Mom and Dad and Brother, my girls K.T., C.F., E.L., S.H.

Thanks:  I have to first thank someone that may not see this but is looking down knowing how thankful I am for everything she has done for me.  My dad Carl, brother Nick and every girl on my team from the hardships of being a rookie on the first year varsity team till now that have been beside me.

Anything Else:  Good luck class of '06, I love you girls of '05.  I'm going to miss you all so much, so many good memories.  Holla!!

JESSICA BRUNO

Awards and Achievements:  JV Captain as a freshman, Offensive Player of the Year (Varsity) sophomore year, Team Catalyst Award junior year, and tri-captain senior year.  All-FCIAC Honorable Mention junior year.

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  Two words:  Notre Dame.  To become a journalist and be happy wherever life takes me.  Also, to be as strong as my mom, because she has never shown fear.  I emulate her.

Likes:  Food:  pasta.  Music:  Dashboard, Dispatch, Beatles.  Book:  Tuesday's with Morrie.  Athlete:  RUDY

Best Memory of Field Hockey:  When my dad and brother went to the Yankee vs Boston American League Championship game that went 12 innings - and I was at practice.

Any Heroes:  Elyse Lyons, "MJ," Dad, Rudy

Thanks:  My parents - for their love and support.  Janey and Pa - my #1 fans!  Uncle Pat with his pep talks, "Norwalk kicks butt!," Uncle Joe - my rock.  All of my family and my best friends - I love you.

Anything Else:  Great job Lady Bears!  I love you guys and I'll miss you so much.  Thank you for making my senior year unforgettable.  And Elyse... when in doubt, always go left.

AMANDA CALNAN

Awards & Achievements:  Player that Always has a Smile on her Face (sophomore year).

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  My goal is to go to college and develop a very solid and successful career so I can start a family of my own.

Likes:  My favorite food is chicken wraps, yum, could live on those.  I love all kinds of music and my favorite books are from James Patterson.  I don't have a specific favorite athlete but I support and like all of the United States athletes all over especially the Olympics this past August.  Another one of my favorite things to do is dance.  I love it and I have been dancing since I was probably 3 years old.

Best Memory of Field Hockey:  UConn camp with "all the small things" and all the other great times I've spent with my girls as a team, we always have fun goofin' around.

Any Heroes:  My heroes are basically my parents, they have always been there for me and I love them for it.

Thanks:  I would like to thank everyone who has been there for me, my family and my friends never letting me give up over the past few years even though they were rough and there are a lot of times I would have if it wasn't for you.

Anything Else:  To my girls, I love you all.  I could have never done it without you, thank you for everything you all have done for me.  Remember, I will always be there for you.  Good luck in the future and keep your heads high, love you all always.  Mr. Seaburg, thank you for always believing in us, you're a great coach.  To everyone that came to our games, thank you so much for your support, fans are everything.

KRISTIN CARBONARA

Awards & Achievements:  All-FCIAC Honorable Mention, Tri-Captain 2004-2005 season.

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  To go to college and play a sport at college level, get an awesome job and live a healthy and safe life with a great family.

Likes:  I'm an Italian, duhhhhh!  PASTA!  My favorite athlete would be anyone that represents the USA.

Best Memory of Field Hockey:  UConn Camp "all the small things," Elyse being robbed!  Definitely camp!  Waking up Kendall and Marle, and the feeling of becoming a team.  Christina just plain knocking over girls and tripping over herself.

Heroes:  Family to keep my strong, friends, coaches and Arty D.

Thanks:  Coaches, my teammates, friends and most of all my family.  No matter what, I cherish the support and love that each and everyone of you have provided me with.  The most important thing is the hope and strength to keep on going.  Without you I wouldn't be me.

Anything Else:  Mr. Seaburg, thank you so much for one of the best times ever.  You taught me the game of field hockey and how to believe in myself.  Don't miss me too much!  My parents and sibs, you mean the world to me.  After all the practices and money here and there, you were always there for me, I couldn't ask for anymore, I love you.  Teammates - you guys are awesome, I will most definitely miss you.  Keep it up and remember I don't mean to hurt you lol it's be accident.  Keep working hard.  Friends - you guys are my shoulders to lean on and it's all through thick and thin.  Thank you!  But Arts b4 futures... to the future NHS Field Hockey Team, remember - "You've got to get up every morning with determination if you are going to go to bed with satisfaction."  Art - You taught me to believe in myself and retaught me how to love these games.  Thank you!  ILY!  You're like my 2nd family.

CHRISTINA FABIAN

Awards & Achievements:  Freshman year, Rookie of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year (JV).  Junior year, Offensive Player of the Year (Varsity).

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  My goal in life is to marry a very rich man so I don't have to work and have about 7 kids.

Likes:  My favorite food is pasta, Chinese, and mac n cheese.  My favorite music is any music I can sing along to.  My favorite athlete is all the hot ones!

Best Memory of Field Hockey:  Holla at the Rift Rafts!!  Steph always complaining!  Chugging glasses of milk and eating 5 boxes of mac n cheese with Kendall.  The name Carboner.  Myrtle and KLT almost killing me.

Heroes:  Stephanie Elizabeth and Kendall Turek.  Also, Elyse because I'll always sweat you!

Thanks:  I would like to thank my mom for being there for me for all 3 seasons of sports.  When I was struggling she always pushed me to keep trying.  I would also like to thank my dad, Pac, and T.J. for coming to my games and supporting me even if they don't know the game of field hockey except 'just hit the ball in the goal.'

Anything Else:  I would like to say I love all you girls!  So much fun times!  Never forget!  Seniors, good luck next year!

Awards & Achievements:  2003 JV Captain and MVP, 2001 Most Positive Attitude.

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  Go to college and major in education and go on to teach 3rd grade.  I want to have a small family with a rich man.

Likes:  Favorite food - chicken nuggets, favorite song - Like a Prayer, favorite athlete - Elyse Lyons

Best Memory of Field Hockey:  Field hockey camp, playing spoons, Elyse's rain dance.  It's elimination time... Kendall's underwear.  Making it to State semifinals 2003, Steph complaining and Elyse picking on me.

Heroes:  Kim Stowe

Thanks:  My parents for all their love and support and always driving me to practice.  The coaches, all the girls I've played with, you girls are the best, I love you all!

Anything Else:  Varsity 2004, I love all you girls, best memories, I'm going to miss you all.  Best of luck next season.

Best Memory of Field Hockey:  Christina always making fun of me and driving through the car wash with Kendall, and Rift Rafts.

Heroes:  The Fabinator and Kendalling Bucharelli EEL A.K.A. - Elyse Lyons

Thanks:  I would like to thank my mom and dad for putting up with me for all those years, and my brother and sister for coming to my games.  And my grams for coming, too.

Awards & Achievements:  3 year varsity player, futures participant, tri-captain, member of the first team to make it to the state semi-finals, Healer Award, Rock of Gibraltar Award.

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  To beat McMahon and win FCIACs and States.  And, of course, to be like Kendall Turek.

Likes:  My favorite athlete is Christina Fabian.

Best Memory of Field Hockey:  Going to UConn camp, "all the small things" on karaoke, zoomy-zoomy, beating McMahon, making it to State Semi-finals, the dinners and bus rides, pre-game music, alumni games, have a better rain dance than Leanne and Sarah, the 'Rif-Raf' gang, spoons, Steph complaining, all the nicknames (especially Myrtle).

Heroes:  Mom - because you put up with me everyday.  It's a tough job - thanks!  I love you!

Thanks:  Caca - Thanks for teaching me field hockey and always pushing me, I love you!  The girls - thank you all for always being there for me.  We've had some great memories that I'll never forget.  I love you all!

Anything Else:  Bucket and Lindsay - you guys are just the greatest coaches ever.  Mr. Seaburg - you're pretty cool, too!  Thanks for everything!

Best Memory of Field Hockey:  Everything!  Especially the dinners, Wojo's man voice, Elyse all the time.
