KELLY BASSFORD

Awards and Achievements:  Co-captain on Varsity, 4 years playing, 3 on Varsity, Most Improved Player my Junior year.
 
Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  To win FCIACs and States!! Hopefully go to a good college to become a nurse and to get 4.0 in school just like Laura DiScala!
 
Best Memory:  Ludlowe Bathroom War- Leanne, pasta dinners, dance class at UCONN, making the juniors run!! haha love you guys! Hey Shann! UNIDITY!!

Anyone you would like to thank:  I would like to thank my mom for pulling off my shinguards after every practice and game, my dad for giving me that fatherly advice and support, Mr. Seaburg- I don't know how you put up with us but no one could do it better, Mrs. Moffett-for being the mom of the team and I can't forget Lindsay and Kristi for making me laugh everytime I saw them.

Anything Else:  To the future players- good luck and have fun!! I'll miss all you! And to my senior girls- thanks for a fun season! I wouldn't want to spend three hours almost everyday with anyone else! I love you guyss.. YEAA SENIORSSS!

JESS DEGRANDI

Awards and Achievements:  I received the "Unsung Hero" Award Junior year, played Field Hockey all four years.

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, AspirationsUNITIDY!!!! This season I want to win the FCIAC championships and BEAT GREENWICH! I also want to just improve my game overall. I plan on going to college and major in advertising and hopefully someday become a big-time advertising executive.

Favorite food, music, book  or …:  Grilled cheese, and pasta!, The Notebook,  One Tree Hill, Tom Brady

Best Memory:  Sara's pasta dinner! Kell- I’M CALLING SANTA!! Kenzie's Girls gone wild pasta party freshman year, me and alzie pushing people during practice!! We were nice! Working at the Oyster Festival with Sara, Lisa, and Nicole.lisa: "KILL ME" love you girls so much.

Anyone you would like to thank I would like to thank first and foremost the person who has stuck by me through thick and thin, who was there every game rain or shine and even when things got hard she still managed to be front and center cheering me on, my mother, thank you mom love you. Now for the person who started it all Coach Mel. My freshman year was a great success because of you, you taught me a lot. Coach Kristi, well what can I say my junior year was a blast because of you. You never gave up on me and knew I would be back ready to score some goals love you! I would also like to thank Mr. Seaburg for sticking with me this season. Even though this was my first year playing for you I have learned a lot and I think I have improved immensely. You are a great coach. Also thanks to Mrs. Moffett for all of your help this season. TO ALL MY FIELD HOCKEY LADIES. Good times with you all, thanks for being there for me and teaching me what it is to be part of a great team. Love you all.

LAURA DISCALA

Awards and Achievements:  I was the Captain of the JV field hockey team and was also a member of Varsity for two years.  I received the "Team Healer Award".

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  To win FCIACs and States! To beat McMahon and improve as a player.  I want to get into college and study abroad in Italy.  I will become rich and famous and drive a white Range Rover, CLK convertible, and a Beamer. 

Favorite food, music, book or …:  I love all food! I love to sing and listen to anything that’s playing on the radio.
 
Best Memory:  "That’s it, I'm calling Santa!", pasta dinners, camp for three years, dance offs with Kelly, dance class at UConn, team UNITEDITY!, Kenzie's right hand water girl!, "YEAH NORWALK", bus rides, the car washes and picnics, and Leanne falling on her butt in the mud!

Anyone you would like to thank:  I would like to thank my Mom and Dad for always encouraging me in anything I do and putting up with my crazy schedules.  I love you!  I would also like to thank my brother Matthew, I probably wouldn't be as tough as I am without you! Also I would like to thank the other field hockey girls- this season was so much fun with all of you. To all the seniors- You guys are unforgettable- I love you girls!  And finally, Mr. Seaburg for never giving up on us. Thank you for everything you have done! And how could I forget Mrs. Moffett for being at every home game and helping us out so much!

NICOLE EFSTATHIADES

Awards and Achievements:  Playing Field Hockey all 4 years and JV captain junior year.

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  My goal is to go to a good college and do something in the business field. I want to have a successful career where I can do a lot of traveling!

Favorite food, music, book  or …:  Eating! Especially the food at the pasta dinners! I like all kinds of music and my favorite author is Lurlene McDaniel. Favorite Quote: "To the world you might just be one person, but to one person, you might mean the world." I don't have a favorite athlete but I admired the ones that I witnessed compete in Athens, Greece in 2004. Dancing is also a passion of mine which I have been doing since I was 5.

Best Memory:  Going to UCONN camp, pasta dinners, bus rides to away games, Playing on JV with Coach Bucket, "That's it, I'm callin' Santa!" Unitedy- yea Kelly!, Laura- "Yeaaa Norwalkk"  The girls pantsing each other during practice, Car Washes, Annual Picnics. Working at the Oyster Fest with Sarah M., Jess, and Lisa "Kill Me!!" Lauren O'Hagan always being late.

Heroes: My parents. You guys are the best and I am so lucky to have parents like you to support me through everything. Oh yea and Kelly B.

Thanks: Thank you to my coaches- all 4 of you. You guys made Field Hockey the best ever! To my teammates- you girls are the best. I LOVE YOU ALL!! Also, thank you to Sara Seaburg, Mrs. Moffett, Morgy, & Mr. Allaire.

Anything Else: Best of luck to all the incoming field hockey players. ***I love Amy so much!!!! I had sooo much fun playing with her all 4 years!!!***

KENZIE HARRICK

Awards and Achievements:  Making the State team sophomore year, 2 years Varsity, "Best Defensive Player Award”: freshman and sophomore year, Hustle Award: junior year

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  To attend college and become a child’s psychologist

Favorite food, music, book  or …:  I love ice cream, my favorite book is Maneater, and my favorite athlete is my sister, Alyxie.

Best Memory:  Warm-up lap singing, Pasta Dinners, my crazy freshman pasta party, and Laura and I playing “Water Girls” junior year

Heroes:  My mom, for putting up with crazy schedules, two daughters that are always busy, and always having an excellent dinner on the table.

Anyone you would like to thank:  I want to thank my family for always supporting my activities and decisions, Coach Mel and Coach Kim for two great seasons, Mrs. Moffett for all of her help throughout the season, Coach Kristi for fixing my drives, and Mr. Seaburg for his encouragement and helping me play the best that I can.

SARAH LAVERTY

Awards and Achievements:  Making states all 3 years I played, Best offensive player my sophomore year and most improved offensive player my junior year. 
 

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  Winning states and FCIAC's, getting accepted into college,  hopefully becoming a social worker and clean up the foster care system.

Favorite food, music, book  or …:  I love Double quarter pounders with cheese and my mom’s fried chicken.

Best Memory:  Coming in the first day of field hockey and meeting all new people, crazy times at camp, pasta parties, bus rides, car wash.

Heroes:  My mom and dad

Anyone you would like to thank:  My parents for putting a lot of time and money into 4 years, dealing with me complaining about how much pain I was in, and always working around my schedule. You are a true inspiration to me.  Thanks to my team for being there for me and always making me laugh, and Mr. Seaburg for trying his hardest to make us the best we can be.

LEANNE LEBLANC

Awards and Achievements:  Making varsity my freshman year, receiving the Hustle Award and The Team Catalyst award, 3 year varsity starter and captain my senior year.

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  To win FCIACs and states. Beat McMahon for the 4th year in a row! To grow 2 more inches, and to go to college and succeed in what ever area I choose.

Favorite food, music, book  or …:  Food- everything bagels with cream cheese, Music- everything, Book- Five People You Meet In Heaven and the outsiders, athlete- my dad when he's not in the penalty box.
 

Best Memory:  Camp at UCONN, dance class with Kelly, Ludlowe bathroom war- Kelly, Bus rides, "unightedy", breaking my stick in half, pasta dinners, Seaburg quote I will not miss- "recover!"

Anyone you would like to thank:  First off I'd like to thank my parents for sticking by me and giving me advice, even though at the time I didn't want to hear it. To Mr. Seaburg for making me the player I am today and always having faith in me. To Mrs. Moffett for always being at our home games, doing the music and being one of our biggest fans.  To the team, thank you for making this season great. SARAH MINTZ

When life flashes before your eyes, make sure you've got plenty to watch.

Awards and Achievements:  Varsity Captain 2005, 3 years on Varsity, JV Freshman year, State Semifinals 2003, National Honor Society, CAPT Master

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  I plan to study International Business at the University of Michigan or study Surfing at Pepperdine University in Malibu. I hope to never smell like a blooming onion ever again. I aspire to be just like my mom because well…she is the best. I plan to get married on the shores of St. John and honeymoon in a bungalow on the beautiful island of Bora Bora. 

Favorite food, music, book or …:  I love frog legs and the delicious toasted almond ice cream from Kelly at Chubby’s; The Price is Right, Lets Make a Deal; I don’t watch movies (I don’t have a long enough attention span); Guess How Much I love You;

Best Memory:  The first serious talk with Mr. Seaburg until he cut the cheese really loud; “Kill Me” at the Oyster Festival; Driving up and down Westport Ave with my top down and the carwash sign flying everywhere; Finding my mom and dad to be the first people in the stands at every game; Dance lessons and Yob at camp; Goodie bags at pasta dinners; Spoon tournaments; “All the Small Things”; My rain dance with Laura; Do they really exist

Anyone you would like to thank:  Mom and dad: Thank you for the sacrifices that you have both made for me over the years. Thank you for every hug, every tear, every kiss, and every sandwich for dinner. Thank you for instilling in me the values I have today. Although I may no longer need your hand for every step I take, I still need your acceptance and support for everything I do. Even if I may not be that little child who asked for all the things I ever wanted in the world, it is only because long ago you taught me how to go after my own dreams. I’ll always love you, Mom and Dad, with the heart of that little child grown to love you only more. Words alone cannot thank you two enough. I love you, Mom and Dad, to the moon and back a gazillion times.

Anything Else:  I want to thank Sarah Seaburg for putting up with the fifty new daughters she adopts every season and the help she provides for our team on her own time. I also want to thank Mrs. Moffet for always starting our warm up music at the right time, putting away the corner flags we neglected to clean up ourselves, and always looking after me. Thanks to Morgy for running on the field with the stopwatch to countdown the last minute, even without protection.

AMY OMAN

Awards and Achievements:  Captain of JV team junior year. Team Catalyst award Junior year.

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  To go to college and succeed in all my goals and become an Elementary school teacher

Best Memory:  Freshman field hockey team, going 13-1 with Kelly!!!!!!! Junior year playing for Bucket. The pasta dinners, bus rides good and bad. Seaburg's pep-talks. Playing every game rain or shine with the girls. Our Varsity "Special Lap" thanks to Leanne and of course "That’s it I’m calling Santa!!!! (haha always laughing with Kelly Laura and Leanne)  Seaburg's famous quote: Everybody ON THE END LINE!

Anyone you would like to thank:  To my family, you guys never gave up on me and i love you so much. Thanks for always being my biggest fans. Matt you believed in me when I didn’t want to Thanks! love you! To My favorite coach, thank you so much for everything Kris, you never let me give up I owe you. I love you Bucket!!!   Finally To Mr. Seaburg, for never doubting me. You helped me realize that I could do just about anything if I wanted to. Been an awesome 4 years playing!

*To all my girls: we've been through it all the last 4 years. Thanks for making it as fun as it could be.  I will always remember Senior year with my favorite people and of course the UNIITEITY (thanks to kel) !! You girls are the best and never forget I love you all!!!

Goals, Dreams, Hopes, Aspirations:  Have a great season, go to FCIACS and States, beat McMahon, have a good Senior year, study history in college, become fluent in at least two languages, and travel widely.

Favorite food, music, book  or …:  Annie's Macaroni and Cheese, Favorite movie: “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”, Favorite book: The Count of Monte Cristo

Best Memory:  UCONN camp, pasta dinners, "that’s it, I'm callin’ Santa," car wash, zoomy zoomy, tie dyeing shirts, Kim Stow’s strut after she blocks a stroke, Allie getting pushed in the pool, always being on time and prepared for practice, and our theme: “Unidity,"
 

Anyone you would like to thank:  Thanks Coach Seaburg, Coach Kristy and Coach Mel for teaching me the game of field hockey, thanks Mom and Dad for waking me up for those early Sunday practices and having dinner for me when I got home late from games, thanks Ralph for coming to more games than I came to cross country meets, and thank you girls for a great four seasons of field hockey!
