LETTER FROM THE COACH

This is my third year as head coach for the girl’s lacrosse team at Norwalk High. Our program is focused on improving and to become a winning program in the future. The girls work hard on improving their game and I take great pride in having the privilege to work with these student-athletes. Our goal this year is to continue to move the program in the right direction. I would like to take this time to thank all those that have helped to make this team what it is today. The players, their parents, the sponsors, the growing booster club (which has been a tremendous help and made my life so much easier), our principal Mr. Tony Dadonna and our athletic director Mr. Wayne Mones, Sheila Moffett for all her scheduling help, and the NHS community all work to help create an organization that we can be proud of.

The ad-book has two major purposes. The first is to raise much-needed funds to help support the lacrosse athletes with equipment and all of their extracurricular activities. The second reason is to provide information and instruction about the girl’s lacrosse game. Please take a moment to check out the rules and signals. This should help to make this at times confusing game much more enjoyable to watch.

This year my coaching staff is well versed in the game of lacrosse and experienced in coaching. My assistant varsity coach Jarlyn Romero, played lacrosse for 4 years at Hartwick, and coached at Springfield College for 2 years. My junior varsity coach is Jessica Marsion; she is a teacher at Norwalk high and has three years high school lacrosse coaching experience. Volunteer coach, Lindsay Carley (4-year starter at Eastern Connecticut) has really helped make our program better. I would like to thank my coaching staff for all their help and support during the season. You make everything possible and the girls’ experience so much more enjoyable and worthwhile. These women realize how important female sports are in building the leaders of tomorrow.

Thank you everyone again for all the support and kind words throughout my two seasons as Varsity coach. Everyone has made me feel welcomed and fully supported and I feel honored to have this opportunity.
