The 2006 team was extremely young compared to years past. The team did make the state tournament, but lost to state semifinilists Glastonbury, bringing the Bears' final season record to 6-8-3. The squad showed good signs of promise gaining ties against an undefeated Westhill team and then-number-1 ranked Greenwich.
